Session 2: (3) Making Effective Presentation at AECT(Chapter 3)

Carry out “This Session's Task 1” after reading and understanding the following contents.

[Introduction]

Chapter 3 “Practicing What We Preach: Making Effective Presentations at AECT” from the textbook describes how to make a presentation at an academic conference. The goal is the same as that of making a proposal, covered in Chapter 2: to make the potential audience feel that it would be a loss not to listen to the research presentation. You would need to organize your presentation so it would become appealing to your audience.

Let us consider how to make a presentation of your research plan, instead of presenting research findings of already conducted research here. The goal is thinking of how to explain your research plan in order to make your instructors or your peers think it would be a loss NOT to let you conduct the proposed research. This is also the same as in Chapter 2.

Read “Chapter 3: Practicing What We Preach: Making Effective Presentations at AECT” from the textbook, and move on.
