Assignment Submission: [Assignment 1]report on research you would like to conduct

Instructions

Deadline for Assignment Submission: 31.12.2008

In this block, we have studied instruction system research methods by reading the textbook titled “Getting Started in Instructional Technology Research.” How have your thoughts about “research you would like to conduct” in Task 1-1 changed? Or, have they deepened? Let us look back and review. The report on “what kind of research you would like to conduct” should consist of the following two parts.
Do not make your report too long (to the extent that reading it will become tiring). Make it simple and submit it as an attachment.

1) Research Plan: Rewrite your message about “research you would like to conduct” that you submitted first in [Task 1-1] in an “academic way.”
2) Reflection: Compare your posting message submitted in [Task 1-1] and the one rewritten this time, and conduct a self-analysis on how and what changed.

[Evaluation Criteria]
In Block 2, we are going to read study cases introduced by each instructor. Whether you have become ready to read the cases will be evaluated. To be more precise, the following criteria are used:

Regarding 1), in what degree your message has become “academic” will be checked. The state of being “academic” is examined as the degree in which you apply to your writing what you have learned in this block. Having clear paragraph structure and proof reading (having no wrong/misspelled words) will be considered to be prerequisites for being “academic.”

Regarding 2), how you reflect the change and whether or not your reflection is written clearly, appropriately, objectively, and persuasively are judged.

*Once posted, the message cannot be edited.

Submission:

Dear *****:

Well written report for both of the required parts: part one in your report, and part two in your comment above. For part one, seven steps are followed well, thus providing good planning, but a summary would have been added to make it easier to read. For part two, reflection would become deeper if you mentioned why such a changed had occured.

I would encourage you to create a summary for your research plan, although I am not asking to resubmit your paper.
