Portfolio and Rubric
- Introduction -

In this session, we use the terms "portfolio" and "rubric," which represent methods of learning evaluation.
Recently, a lot of attention has been paid to these methods. A "portfolio" evaluation is something similar to old-established evaluation methods we have used, such as the submission of reports and work imposed on students in addition to objective tests. At the same time, we have long evaluated what students submit on a scale of A, B, C and F, or that of A, B, C and D without using a "rubric." Portfolio and rubric methods must be different from the traditional evaluation methods in some points, since they actually exist as a means of evaluation, using such names. Then, what is the difference?
