As part of my master’s research in GSIS, I introduced and implemented JiTT in a physics class at the high school where I work. The details and effects were summarized in a master’s thesis and reported at academic conferences (the Japanese Society of Physics Education and the Japan Society for Educational Technology). In my master’s thesis, I also developed a checklist for preparing JiTT pre-assignments.
In the future, I would like to promote JiTT and practice “inquiry learning” with JiTT. We believe that JiTT is an excellent way to utilize ICT, although the effective use of ICT is still being explored in the field of junior high and high schools. We also believe that JiTT can be one method of “inquiry learning,” which is currently being emphasized in secondary education.
