RCiSセミナー開催報告【動画を公開しました】　「プレFD：大学教員をめざすみなさんへのエール」2021年7月24日開催

• 2021年7月24日に熊本大学教授システム学研究センター主催のRCiSセミナー「プレFD：大学教員をめざすみなさんへのエール」を開催しました。のべ100人を超える方にご参加いただきました。約半数は、熊本大学の大学院生、ポストドクター、若手研究員、教員で、約半数は学外からからの参加でした。
• 本セミナーでは、プレFDの現状と課題について、合田美子准教授より、国内外の状況を簡潔に紹介しました。続いて、「これからの大学教員へもとめられること」と題して、インストラクショナルデザイン（授業設計学）の第一人者の鈴木克明教授と本センター合田美子准教授が対談を行いました。事前および当日によせられた質問に回答しながら、大学を「学校」にしない、より自律した学習者を育成する、など次世代の高等教育について、キーワードが挙げられました。最後に、本センターが提供する、大学教員になるために身につけておいてほしいことが学べるプログラム「教育改善スキル修得オンラインプログラム（科目デザイン編, 自律学習編）」について紹介しました。

内容 [Outline]：

This webinar explores the implications of the “digital turn” on the teaching of languages, particularly English. Advancements in digital technologies offer many opportunities to improve the teaching and learning of languages. Digital technologies invite teachers to rethink their pedagogies and explore alternative ways in which to design students’ learning experiences. We discuss the opportunities offered by and the challenges of technology-enhanced language learning across three talks.

In the first talk, Dr. Yoshiko Goda will discuss ways to integrate theory, practice, and technology for the effective use of technology for language learning. She will share case studies that bridge self-regulated learning and computer-supported collaborative learning, which enabled both student input and output to contribute to develop language proficiency.

In the second talk, Dr Fei Victor Lim will present on ‘Designing Learning with Technology’. He will share the considerations in using digital technologies well for learning by reflecting on the possibilities they bring for knowledge representations and how they shape the pedagogic interactions between teachers and students.

In the final talk, Dr Willy Renandya will discuss key language learning principles and explore how these principles can be productively applied to enrich students’ language learning experience in technologically-mediated lessons. When students are engaged in this way, they can be expected to acquire more language and further develop their language proficiency.
